A few weeks ago, I was lucky to get the opportunity to photograph the opening of Mercedes Helnwein’s East of Eden art exhibit at the Merry Karnowsky Gallery (www.mkgallery.com) in Los Angeles. The event, hosted by actor Jason Lee, had a successful turn out for both the artist and the gallery. Mercedes’ art brings out a complex set of emotions that draws you in. Her work is outstanding.
